Description: Jewel Watch Co. was to Fortis what Tudor is to Rolex. Fortis does not need any presentation, they are a famous Swiss watchmaking company. Started in 1912 by Walter Vogt. Fortis is still in business today. Watch works well, recently serviced. This is a vintage watch from the late 40s, early 50s, wear and tear is present. Pictures show the condition. Please examine the pictures carefully!
Dial: Beautiful aged green with luminous hands. Radium was removed from the hands and replaced with Tritium. Vintage look remained. Some light wear and tear is present due to vintage conditions.
Crystal: Acrylic
Case: Marked Fortis Watch Co. Stainless steel, beautiful, elegant. Watch is from the 40s-50s, so some wear and tear is present. Case is in excellent conditions considering the age. Case is not waterproof due to age.
Size: diameter 31mm without crown, lug width 15.5mm, lug-to-lug 37.5mm, and thickness 9mm.
Band: New genuine green NATO strap. Original band did not survive.
Movement: Beautiful original signed Jewel Company, AS1220/21, Swiss Made, 17 Jewels, 18000 bph, and manual wind.
Functions: hours, minutes, and seconds.
